Curriculum

Rupert's is dedicated to providing a structured learning and development environment for each of our children. Day to day routine and activities revolve around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.

EYFS is an initiative of the Department for Education and Skills which aims to maximise learning and development for children from birth to five years. Each of our staff members is educated in the statutory framework and guidelines of the EYFS.

There are seven key areas covered by the initiative:

  • Literacy

Reports are prepared termly and shared with parents to help achieve the next steps for each child

Each of the children has a dedicated key worker, a member of staff who monitors and reports on each individual’s progress in relation to the above outcomes.

The developmental journeys of each child are available to parents for review at any time and we also provide reports relating to activities and behaviour on a daily basis.
